Tricky. Deltics had an air of power and grandeur about them
and did a lot of impressive throbbing. Westerns were easier on the eye -
perhaps the most attractive diesels of all. I was lucky enough to see all the members
of both classes [though, on reflection, I would have preferred to have copped
all the Streaks and Kings].
